Rest and relaxation at Cordova

Oh! It's been eons since I've posted something on this "private" blog. I kind of miss blogging and all it's what nots. I haven't really been to new places for this year :( Yeah, its either I'm that busy or i've just been boring this year. I'll just sum  it all up in one post next time :) Anyways, me and my friends just went to this new resort in Cordova namely, Best western sandbar resort. Pretty long name ayt? I kept forgetting the name when someone asked. LOL.
Anyways, me and my friends commuted while going there so from osmena circle cebu we rode a taxi to pier 3. Upon arriving at pier 3 you have to pay 14 pesos (regular fare) to the ticketing booth and another payment for the terminal fee. Then, good old ferry boat takes you to Lapu Lapu city where you have to walk up to the birhen sa regla church, just a few meters from the pier. Then before you reach the church, you would see some jeepneys stopping over, ride the jeepney going to cordova. Stop at cordova crossing, then ride a tricycle to the resort. Ta daaaah! Arrival at destination :) But if you dont really want the adventure, you can just ride a v-hire from sm to cordova :)

Here are the breakdowns:
taxi ride to pier 3 - 80 php
Ferry boat ticket - 14 php
Terminal fee - 1 php
Jeepney to Cordova -10 php
tricycle fare - 10 php
V-hire to Cordova -35

Upon arrival, the first thing we noticed  was the serenity, we felt like we were the only ones in the area. The place was not really fully functional yet. It's like a soft opening of the place. So before anything else we had to pay our entrance  fees ( 250 php) for day use from 8 am to 5pm. It took quite a while for the receptionist to welcome us. Good thing there was free wifi to feed our boredom.

After the 15 minute wait, we headed straight to the pool. On first impression, the place was kind of small for my taste. I really love big and deep pools. This one's kind of small, and only about 4 feet deep. Great for families with small children.

It looks big in pictures though :)

The slides were not that high, about 2 stories high I guess. Safe for children, I'd probably bring my little sister here next time. She'll love the pool

View from the top of the slide, the place looks really photogenic :) probably the whole resort itself.
The spot where me and my friends slept. Other than the pool there was nothing much to do. Oh, there was a beach volleyball area but we didnt bother to ask if there was a ball or not. So, we just slept ar around 1 in the afternoon. And yes, it was very bright, one cannot survive without sunglasses hahaha
Well that's it for today. I'm tired and burnt

Till next post :)
Ps: no pictures of our lunch because somehow it was disappointing and I was too hungry to take pictures tsk tsk :)
