VACATION- a specific trip or journey, for the purpose of recreation or tourism usually done with family or friends. Well, in our case, it is defined as a period of distressing from all those tiresome days of school wherein we are caught eating magnanimously, drinking endlessly and partying all night.
And as we all know, summer 2011 has finally knocked our doorsteps. Well, who am i to deny the excitement everyone anticipates every summertime. Let's welcome SUMMER 2011 with a blast.

Hiding all the excitement I feel inside |
I kid you not, we have planned this outing since the holiday season. Three pretty grils are celebrating their birthdays this month and what is more exciting than a joint birthday celebration in 3 different island in CEBU. These girls were JK (who was featured in my previous post), Jean, and Kathe. All of them are part of my BOLINAO GIRLS - what we call our group.
I started the day by waking up at 5am knowing the rather short land trip to Lapu-lapu city would take a lot of stop overs. We had to load a lot of food in our compartments since we wouldn't want our little vacation to be disturbed by our grumbling tummies. Well, most of us are on a diet anyway and mind you i'm definitely not one of those people. I'm a food lover and anyone that takes me away from food would surely be in the right way for a slap button. Even myself. hahaha I sound so harsh and we're so off topic. Just the mention of food distracts me :D

We had to ride on this cute little "BOATEE" before boarding into our bigger Banca |
At our arrival in Lapu-lapu CIty, we were directly ushered into a so-called mini port which looks like an unfinished bridge to me. And since the tide wasn't really high that time, we had to ride on this little boat which i call "boatee" to board us in our bigger Banca. As usual, you have to pay these people for their efforts of transporting us.

The unfinished bridge :)) |

Thank you God for the wonderful, shining, shimmering and splendid SUN. :p |
Nothing could replace all the fun that rolled in when we boarded the Banca. Cameras started flashing and most of us were dancing in the beat of a speaker attached to an i pod. Good thing we did not violate the 1st beach rule: Always bring portable speakers and i pod and get the party started.
Our first stop of the trip was the Nalusuan Island. The engine roaring to a hault signaled our cue to strip into our swim wears and let the water splash begin. But before dipping into the water and getting our hairs all wet, we had a little pictorial in our banca and here are some of the pictures i personally love.

I love this shot! And i took it. :)) Mikko in his "Ninoy look |

The color of the day would most definitely be Aquamarine. And i'm wearing a shade of it. :))

Last shot before boarding the banca. |
It's our first time to land in this relatively unspoiled island. Only cottages where available, i bet there's also no electricity in the island. And again, all we did in the island was to take more pictures. Moments that would want to be turned into precious memories. With the sea sighing at our background, what's not to love?
After boarding the Banca, we then headed to our supposedly pit stop of the day. The Talima Marine Sanctuary. I've already been here though, so i anticipated a lot of fishes including my favorite one from last time, the Purple fish. Almost all of us swam into the water and fought the waves. I literally got a headache and almost drowned from laughing so hard while swimming. A little bit of snorkeling and jumping in the water, then most of us got tired and decided to chat under the roofs of our banca. Some were also sleeping and are most probably drunk. We chilled at the beaches of Tambuli Beach Resort and then headed for the port. Most of us were really sleepy and tired that it became quiet in the boat.

Heading home |
The whole time I was there, my brain was silently screaming "MORE". It was so difficult to leave and the fun an excitement has not entirelt died yet. And then, i am reminded by those rays of the sun shining ahead of us. It's officially the start of summer.
We'll meet again soon islands of Cebu. :)
